Biography of Forgiven

Philip Wood    Bass Guitar

Philip was saved at Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Knoxville during a revival meeting.  He rededicated his life to the Lord when he was 14 at a TNT Bible study when he was in high school. Philip loves music of all kinds and began piano lessons around age 6.  While in high school he played trombone in the band and even picked up the bass guitar a few times.  He married Koa Easterday on May 15, 2004 and they began attending Sunset Heights Missionary Baptist Church in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee.  It was here that he would become interested in learning to play the bass and adding to the music program.  Kevin began working with him and teaching him how to play.  Philip started playing with Kevin at church, but on June 4, 2006 Philip made his first appearance with Forgiven at Bible Baptist Church in Tellico Plains, Tennessee.  Even through the difficulties of his son, Jabin’s, premature birth, Philip never once missed a singing.
